This article discusses how to route tickets for researchers or PIs who need access to their Turbo Storage shares.

Directions
As Research drives are being migrated to Turbo access might be requested. Here are the steps outlined by the Research Team for ticket escalation or steps the PI can take to grant access themselves:
- Send in a ticket to arc-support@umich.edu requesting access that includes the name of the volume. This option requires someone from the arcts-<whatever the PI’s uniquename is>-admins MComm group to grant approval for adding the user.
- Have their PI add them using the Research Management Portal. A PI can do this by following these steps:
- Go to https://portal.arc.umich.edu/projects
- Click on the name of the storage volume under the Turbo tile
- Click on the Users tab
- Click on the small blue Add button
- Add the users uniqname in the field on the small window that pops up and then click on the small blue Add button in that window
- The window will close and user will be added. The system can take up to an hour to sync all groups before the user can access the volume.
For option 1, Research usually will add the user once approved and then send the PI the instructions listed above for user the RMP themselves.
