Simple procedural instructions for setting a PowerPoint slideshow to provide presenter with a view of the forthcoming slide, while only displaying the current slide to the audience.
Environment
Standard Windows OS podium computers in classrooms and auditoriums.
Directions

Double Click on Desktop’s Display Mode icon

Choose “Extend”

Drag & Drop PowerPoint file to Desktop

Open PowerPoint presentation - it should appear in a scaled down box

You should see large primary slide with slideshow array on the left

Start the slideshow “from the beginning”

You should see your first slide, with the next slide now appearing on the right

The audience only sees the slide that you want them to see

Afterwards, before logging off, please reset Display Mode to “Duplicate”
