Data Responsibility

My device may be wiped without notice and data may be permanently lost. I accept full responsibility for backing up my data.

Tech Repair can perform a data backup prior to repairing your device. To have your data backed up, please provide your device password and an external drive equal to or larger than your device's storage. A $48 backup fee will be added to your repair total.

Hardware Repair Agreement (If Applicable):

Authorization: I am the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Cost Estimate: A repair technician will contact me with a cost estimate; repairs will not proceed without my approval of the estimate.
Minimum Charge: For all repairs, there is a one-hour minimum ($96) required for diagnosis, unless covered by warranty, even if I choose not to proceed with service.
Warranty Limitations: Many warranties do not cover accidental damage or software issues.
Liability Waiver: ITS Tech Repair is not liable for any damages or data loss during repair.
Incidental Data Contact: Technicians may come into incidental contact with my data.
Holding Fee: $96 fee if not picked up within 30 days after completion. After 180 days, data will be wiped, and the computer will become U-M property.

AppleCare+ Repair Authorization (If Applicable):

I authorize ITS Tech Repair to perform repairs covered under my AppleCare+ plan for accidental damage, with a service fee of up to $299 (as determined by Apple), payable at repair pickup. I understand that I will be notified of the final service fee and repair details prior to pickup.
