How do I log in to my U-M Google Shared Account?

Resolution

Important: You cannot sign into a U-M Google Shared Account while also signed into your individual U-M Google account. If you try to sign in to a Google Shared Account while already signed in to your individual account, you will be redirected to your individual account.

To log in to your U-M Google Shared Account:

  1. Open a Google Chrome incognito window (or a different browser's private window).
    • If you are on a CoreImage machine (via HITS/Michigan Medicine), incognito mode is no longer available. To sign into a Shared Account on a CoreImage machine, you must either:
      • Sign in using a different browser that doesn't use your individual U-M Google account.
      • Sign in to Google Chrome with multiple accounts.
  2. Go to U-M Gmail.
  3. Log in via U-M Sign In with the Shared Account's email address and UMICH password.

We recommend configuring email delegation between the Shared Account and your individual U-M Google account to simplify access to certain features. Refer to Google: Add or Remove Email Delegation for more information.
