Dropbox: How Many Devices Can Be Connected/Linked to My Account?

This article includes information on how many devices can be connected/linked to a U-M Dropbox account. It also includes steps to view all devices connected to an account.

Issue

How many devices can I connect/link to my U-M Dropbox account?

Resolution

You can connect/link up to five computers and five mobile devices (phone/tablet) per account.

• You cannot install it on ten computers or ten mobile devices. It is five computers and/or five mobile devices.
• An exception can be made with a request and a valid business case 
  • Requests for extensions can be sent to 4HELP@umich.edu

How can I tell how many devices I am using?

1. Log in to dropbox.umich.edu.
2. Click your avatar in the lower-left corner, then select # devices connected from the drop-down menu.
   • Alternatively, you can select Settings > Security to find this page.
3. You can find the devices connected/linked to your account listed under the Devices section.
   • You can remove any devices you no longer need at any time.
