MiVideo Mediaspace
Referred to as “mini-portals”, channels are personally managed, user generated media collections in MiVideo. They can be configured in a variety of ways from fully open collaborative collections to private collections locked down to specific groups. Viewers can subscribe to channels to be notified when new content is added. See related

How to Add and Remove Media in a Channel
Resolution
This article focuses on publishing media directly to a channel, however media can also be organized into playlists within the channel (see the Create Playlists and Add Media to Playlists articles).
Important: specific site and channel entitlement roles are needed to publish media to a channel. If you are unable to publish media to a channel contact your Mediaspace admin.
Publish media from My Media to the Channel
Publish media from your My Media library to the channel.
- Navigate to the Channel page > Media tab > Add to Channel.
- You will see all the media from your My Media.
- Check the box next to the media items you want to add to this channel.
- Click Publish in the upper-right of the page.
Add new media from the Channel
New media added from the Channel page is automatically published to the channel and added to your My Media library.
- Navigate to the Channel page > Media tab > Add to Channel > Add New.
- Click Media Upload and select your file. There are multiple ways to add new media, see related Add New Media articles.
- While your file is uploading, edit the Name, Description, add Tags, and enter any custom metadata as needed. Add Collaborators as needed (see the Media Collaboration and Roles article).
- Click Save.
- Do not leave the page until the blue upload bar turns to green and you get a success message.
- There is a Choose another file button at the bottom of the page to add another file. You can upload files and save metadata on the same page, but be careful to make sure all the upload bars have turned green before navigating away.
- When the upload is complete, two links appear near the Save button:
- Go to Media directs you to view your newly uploaded media on the Media page.
- Go to Channel directs you back to the Channel page.
