What is the Panorama tool for Canvas accessibility, and where can I get support?

Resolution

Panorama is an accessibility tool in Canvas that has features for both students and instructors. Currently, Panorama is visible by default for both students and instructors, appearing in the course navigation menu as well as icons throughout the course.

Features for Students

Student-facing tools can convert content and files into more accessible formats. Learn how to Create Alternative Formats with Panorama in Canvas for files in Canvas courses, or Use Panorama DocHub to Create Alternative Formats for files outside of Canvas.

Features for Instructors

Panorama has multiple features to help instructors and instructional support staff create more accessible content. These features include:

• Scans Canvas content accessibility standards and displaying accessibility score icons. Accessibility scores are not visible to students. 
• Provides actionable guidance to Improve Canvas Course Accessibility with Panorama.
• Enables instructors to Track Canvas Course Accessibility over time.
