Issue

Is the Microsoft Access app available to ITS-managed Microsoft 365 accounts?

Resolution

  • Microsoft Access is included with the Microsoft 365 license for active faculty, staff, and students.
  • Only available for Windows computers.
  • There is no online version available, so the Microsoft 365 software will need to be installed locally.
    1. Local install is available from portal.office.com.
    2. Click Apps in the lower-left corner and select All apps.
    3. Click Install apps in the top right corner and select Microsoft 365 apps.
    4. Follow the installation instructions, then search for Access using Windows search.
  • Microsoft Access can also be accessed in Virtual Sites.
