Issue
How do I figure out what version of the Operating System (OS) my Windows computer is running?
Resolution
WINDOWS 10
- Click the Start (Window) button
- Click Settings (the gear icon)
- Click System
- Click About (you might need to scroll down on the left side to see it)
- Windows specifications -> Version
- Will display number like 20H2, 21H1 or 21H2
OR
- Click on the MiWorkspace Helper App ( the block M) in the System Tray found in the lower right corner by the clock
- Build Number will be displayed
- Build 10586 = Windows 10 version 1511
- Build 14393 = Windows 10 version 1607
- Build 15063 = Windows 10 version 1703
- Build 16299 = Windows 10 version 1709
- Build 17134 = Windows 10 version 1803
- Build 17763 = Windows 10 version 1809
- Build 18362 = Windows 10 version 1903
- Build 18363 = Windows 10 version 1909
- Build 19041 = Windows 10 version 2004
- Build 19042 = Windows 10 version 20H2 (Also known as 2009)
- Build 19043 = Windows 10 version 21H1
- Build 19044 = Windows 10 version 21H2
- Build 19045 = Windows 10 version 22H2
OR
- Open the Start Menu (or press WIN+R to open the Run dialog box)
- Type in "winver" (without quotes) and hit enter
- A dialog box will pop up that will contain the version number
