Issue

You would like to make changes to how email opens with Gmail

Example:

• Email opening below inbox
• Email opening to the right of inbox
• Email opening in separate window

Resolution

1. Visit https://email.umich.edu/
2. At the top right, click the Settings icon (this is the icon that looks like a gear) 
3. Under Reading Pane (you might need to scroll down to see this section), select your split-pane mode:
   • No split
   • Right of inbox
   • Below inbox
