Issue

How do I give an individual student more time to complete a quiz in Canvas?

Resolution

• In order to give an individual student more time to complete a quiz, use the "Moderate Quiz" option
• Instructions can be found in the Instructure article Once I publish a timed quiz, how can I give my students extra time?
• Note: there is no way to bulk extend time for a classic quiz when students have already begun an attempt (for example if Canvas is experiencing issues and the instructor wants to give all students additional time).
