Issue

How do I get help with a technical issue (such as audio not working) during the Spanish Placement Exam?

Resolution

If you are experiencing any technical issues while taking the Spanish Placement Test, it is best to stop immediately and contact the ITS Service Center by phone or chat for live support. Do not exit or refresh the test page as that will automatically submit your one attempt.

Prior to taking the exam, make sure you can access a device that meets the following requirements :

Device requirements

  • You should only take the test using a desktop or laptop computer.
  • Do not use a tablet or mobile device to take the test.

Browser and OS requirements

  • Please use a current operating system and web browser.
  • A current version of Chrome or Firefox is recommended.

Additional tips

  • Make sure your device is plugged in or fully charged.
  • Ensure you have a stable Internet connection.

Before accessing the test itself, while accepting the Terms and Conditions, you will complete a visual and audio check to be sure you can see images displayed correctly on your screen and hear sound. If you can't get the test to work or you encounter an issue during the exam, reach out to the ITS Service Center for support.
