Friend Account Email Changes (Starting Feb. 25, 2026)

Issue

What to do if you wish to change the email address associated with your Friend account, or if you are no longer able to access the email account starting Feb. 25, 2026.

Resolution

You cannot change the email address associated with a Friend account. If you wish to use a different email address, or if you are no longer able to access the original email account, you must create a new Friend account and be re-authorized to use each desired service by the appropriate service provider.

• Parents/Family authorized to access student account information, including tuition bills: Your student must authorize your new email address through Wolverine Access.
• Admission applicants: Verify your new email address/Friend account in Wolverine Access.
• Canvas courses: Contact the ITS Service Center for further assistance.
• eResearch Regulatory Management: 
  • Contact the PI or another study team member to add you to the study using your new friend account email address. 
  • To transfer your PEERRS certification to your new account, Request a PEERRS Human Subjects Certification Waiver.
