Issue

Users need guidance on how to create or use accessible backgrounds in Zoom meetings.

Resolution

To create or use accessible Zoom backgrounds, follow these steps:

  • Choose simple backgrounds with solid, neutral colors to minimize distractions.
  • Avoid busy patterns that can cause visual discomfort, strobe effects, or distraction.
  • If background includes text, use large fonts and good color contrast.
  • Avoid video or moving images as background.
  • Ensure good lighting in front of you so that your face is well-lit and easy to see.
