Can I use a template to create a Canvas course layout? 

Resolution

You can use Canvas templates that cater to specific course types, such as lecture-based courses or discussion-based courses, or Pages and Module templates for ideas of how to design and deliver content. 

• This Canvas Course Template site is a collection of templates from academic units and programs at the University of Michigan. The collection has been curated to support faculty, units, and/or programs that seek guidance and inspiration for designing a Canvas course. These templates can be imported into courses or programmatic sites in order to repurpose the layout.
• Generic reusable high-quality templates for course delivery are available. 
• Many units have created accessible document templates for common use cases. These templates are accessible, well-designed, and U-M branded.
