I am interested in bringing someone to my school/organization to learn more about making college affordable. What options do I have?
The University of Michigan offers several options to support events, depending on your topic and needs:
-
Pre-college Audience: Our Outreach unit is dedicated to making higher education financially accessible for everyone. We play a pivotal role in guiding students and families through the financial aid landscape, ensuring that they are fully informed and prepared to take advantage of all available resources. Our team works throughout the year with community groups and high school counselors and administrators to bring information about college financial aid to prospective students and their parents. We coordinate Financial Aid Sessions, visits to local high schools, college fairs, events in the U-M Detroit Office, and participate in on-campus activities in Ann Arbor. The team also hosts regular office hours in the U-M Detroit Office where we meet one-on-one to assist local families. Learn more about our Outreach Activities & Events.
-
College Audience: Our Financial Education and Engagement unit works with U-M student groups, instructors, and program coordinators seeking more information about financial literacy. We provide workshops and educational information about personal finance topics like budgeting, credit management, borrowing education, and more. Learn more about Financial Education at U-M.
