Table of Contents Enable LockDown Browser Enable Monitor Review Recorded Attempts LockDown Browser Respondus LockDown Browser is a special browser designed for online test security. It locks students into a test so that no other websites or applications can be accessed. Select LockDown Browser in your course menu. The dashboard will display your deployed tests. Click the menu button to the left of the test name and choose Settings. Select the option for Require Respondus LockDown Browser for this exam. If you would like to enable webcam monitoring, jump to Respondus Monitor. Otherwise, click Save + Close. Return to the content area where the test is deployed. You will see that the phrase, "Requires Respondus LockDown Browser" has been appened to the test name. This indicates that the test has been successfully setup to require the LockDown Browser. Respondus Monitor Monitor works in conjunction with the LockDown browser and provides webcam monitoring of a student's test session. The entire test session is recorded for instructor review. Using facial detection, Respondus Monitor will flag videos as higher priority if it detects that the student was out of the video frame. To enable Respondus Monitor Once LockDown Browser is enabled for a test, Monitor Webcam Settings are displayed. Choose "Require Respondus Monitor for this exam". Additional options will then appear for pre-test checks to verify webcam functionality. It is recommended to leave those options selected.
