Combine Course Sections

Overview

 

The Course Combine procedure has been updated so that your requests are processed automatically and immediately in Canvas. Follow these steps to combine your course sections.

Instructions

 
  1. Visit https://apps.umflint.edu/canvas/course-combine and login with your UM credentials.
  2. Use the Semester drop down menu to select the semester.

    Note: Courses cannot be combined once the semester starts.

  3. In the Courses to Combine box, select the courses you want to combine. They will be added to the field as you select them from the list.

    Note: Only sections of the same course can be combined (e.g. UNV-100-W1 and UNV-100-W2, the subject code and course number must match). If you want to combine sections of different courses in Canvas, you will need to contact the Office of the Registrar.

  4. Once you have selected the courses to combine, click the Combine Courses button in the bottom right, confirm your selection in the pop up window, and click Submit.

  5. Wait for a few seconds while your request processes. You will receive a confirmation when it is finished.

  6. Repeat these steps for any additional course sections you need to combine.
