Start a New Course
You can quickly create an empty course shell (often used as a sandbox for building content or testing) directly from your Dashboard.
- Log into Canvas.
- On the right side of the screen, locate and click the Start a New Course button. You may need to scroll down to find it, as it sits below your "To Do" and "Coming Up" lists.
- A "Start a New Course" window will appear. Enter your desired Course Name in the provided text field.
- Click the Create course button.
- Your new course shell is now created. You will be taken directly to the new course where you can begin building or importing content.
