Delete a Playlist in My Media within MiVideo

Issue

How to permanently delete a Media Gallery, channel, or personal playlist. 

Note: Deleting a playlist does not delete the media item in the playlist which will remain in My Media and in the channel/Media Gallery (for channel and Media Gallery playlists). See the Delete Media document to permanently delete the media from My Media.

Resolution

Delete a Media Gallery Playlist (Canvas only)

Teachers, TAs, and Designers can delete a Media Gallery playlist.

1. Canvas: navigate to the course > Media Gallery > Channel Actions  > Edit > Playlists tab
2. Click the trash icon next to the playlist to remove
3. Click Delete to confirm

Delete a Personal Playlist (MiVideo Mediaspace only)

Note: The Watch Later playlist can be used to collect media to watch later. This playlist cannot be deleted or published.

1. MiVideo Mediaspace: user drop-down menu > My Playlists
2. Click the trash icon next to the playlist to remove
3. Click Delete to confirm

Delete a Channel Playlist (MiVideo Mediaspace only)

Only Managers can delete a channel playlist.

1. Navigate to the Edit Channel page > Playlists tab
2. Click the trash icon next to the playlist to remove
3. Click Delete to confirm
