​​​​​What does it do?

This report is designed to pull a summary of all transactions that have been entered in DART given ---

  • Start and End dates for giving (i.e. Revenue Date FY Start/End, Revenue Fiscal Month)
  • Rollup Information (i.e. SCU, VP Area, Campus, MPathways DeptID, Site Name, Designation LookupID)
  • Geographic Information (i.e. Primary Metro Area, Major Gift Region, Greater Metro Area, County, State)

This report shows Production Credit totals — meaning it removes, wherever possible, all payments or gifts made downstream of an original gift or gift intention declared by the donor. For more information on Production Credit, please see this article on counting methodologies

Why use this report?

Use this report if you need to view University of Michigan’s (or a specific Rollup/Region’s) overall production values by Fiscal Year (accounting for gift adjustments and corrections, without including subsequent pledge or planned gift payments).

Below are the available prompts (with explanation) —

  • Enter Revenue Date FY (Start) (Optional)

    • Allows users to enter a starting fiscal year, aggregating giving activity for during and after that year

    • NOTE: A fiscal year begins in July and ends in June of the next year. For example, the 2025 fiscal year begins July 1st, 2024 and ends June 30th, 2025. 

    • E.g., 2021
       

  • Enter Revenue Date FY (End) (Optional)

    • Allows users to enter an ending fiscal year, aggregating giving activity for during and before that year

    • NOTE: A fiscal year begins in July and ends in June of the next year. For example, the 2025 fiscal year begins July 1st, 2024 and ends June 30th, 2025. 

    • E.g., 2021

Giving Information (Optional)

Answer at least one of the following prompts to be displayed. You may select as many of these levels as you wish and you must select something in this section or you will get no results

  • Enter S/C/U Rollup (Optional)

    • Allows Users to restrict report to only gifts associated with a specific School, College, or Unit (SCU) Rollup Name to display Lifetime Giving Information

    • E.g., School of Information
       

      • AND/OR Enter VP Area Rollup (Optional)

        • Allows users to restrict report to giving activity associated with a specific VP Rollup Name

        • E.g., Office of the President, VP for Development

    • Shows FY Production totals (by Fiscal Year if multiple are selected), in the 3 major categories (i.e., Gifts, Commitments, Expectancies) and 9 subcategories (i.e., One-Time Gifts, Unreported Realized Bequests, Pledge Total Amounts, Conditional Pledge Total Amounts, Life Income Agreements, Life Insurance, Bequests and Retirement Plans, Other, and Sponsor Grants) with totals. Cash dollars are presented here for comparison and cannot be counted or summed with Production Totals.
       

  • 1b. FY Production Count by FY        

    • Shows FY Production totals (by Fiscal Year if multiple are selected), donor counts, and gift counts in the 3 major categories (i.e., Gifts, Commitments, Expectancies) and 9 subcategories (i.e., One-Time Gifts, Unreported Realized Bequests, Pledge Total Amounts, Conditional Pledge Total Amounts, Life Income Agreements, Life Insurance, Bequests and Retirement Plans, Other, and Sponsor Grants) with totals.
