Update Type of UMichEDU Email Addresses

What Does It Do?

The OUD-DS3 best practice is for @umich.edu email addresses to have a type of Mich E-mail Address.

This integrity check identifies email addresses ending in @umich.edu where the type is not Mich E-mail Address so that the type can be corrected. 

How Is This Done?

This integrity check is run using a SQL Server view called [INTEGRITY_CHECKS].[dbo].[IDS.V-INTEGRITY CHECK-EMAIL-Update Type of UMichEDU Emails(DW)], which is located in DB-OUD > Databases > INTEGRITY_CHECKS > Views.

That view queries email addresses ending in @umich.edu and where the type is not Mich E-mail Address. It creates a batch to update the type to “Mich E-mail Address”.
