In Business Objects (BO), there are many folders and many reports with similar names. Hence, your colleagues may find it challenging to locate a particular report you’ve mentioned.
When submitting a ticket request, besides a brief description of the report and your ask, you may also want to include the report name, folder path, and link to the report.
So, how to find such information?
Let’s take “8.0 Excel MProfile- By LookupID”, a commonly used BO report as an example.
If it's already in “Recent Documents”, click the three dots, and select "Details".
Otherwise, navigate to the folder that contains the report. Then, right-click the report and select "Details".
See highlighted parts for the report name (“file name”), folder path, and link to the report (“document link”). Including them in the ticket would be very helpful.
