The University of Michigan has entered into a Microsoft Software Campus Agreement, which allows the distribution of some commonly used Microsoft products. This includes Microsoft Windows 10 or 11 Education. These versions of Windows are available to all active University of Michigan students for use on personally-owned devices at no cost.
Students:
U-M students can access the download by using their UMICH email address. Visit the U-M Tech Shop Windows page, and use the OnTheHub link to register for further information.
Faculty & Staff:
U-M faculty and staff must purchase Windows for use on personally-owned computers, either directly from Microsoft or another vendor.
For University-owned computers, faculty and staff can visit the ITS Software Services Store to access the installers, or contact their department IT support staff for assistance.
