Who is eligible to participate in Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching?

The software covered by the Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching program license is only available to College of Engineering students and faculty. Specifically, these roles of eligibility are defined as:

  • Students: Persons who are currently enrolled in at least one for-credit, academic College of Engineering course during the current term
  • Faculty: Persons employed to teach at least one for-credit, academic College of Engineering course

Obtaining & Using Microsoft Azure Dev Tools for Teaching Software:

  • Students must be taking at least one for-credit academic course within the College of Engineering in order to use the software under this license.
  • Faculty must be teaching at least one for-credit academic course within the College of Engineering in order to use the software under this license.
  • In order to meet licensing requirements and not risk loss of access for all eligible users, CAEN must disable access to anyone who no longer meets the criteria described above.
  • Students and faculty who leave the College may continue to use software from this license that was installed on their machines prior to their departure.
  • U-M email addresses (uniqname@umich.edu) serve as login IDs (account information is emailed to these addresses).
  • By using the software available through this licensing program, users must adhere to the program usage guidelines.
