What is Zoom? How is Zoom used at the University?

Zoom is a cloud-based videoconferencing service at the University that can be used for simple remote, online meetings. It provides group messaging, screen sharing, and the option for recording meetings. It works on multiple platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome OS, Android, iOS), and is open to all U-M students, faculty, and staff. Zoom's Webinar feature is available to all U-M faculty members for holding large course lectures or group meetings (up to 1000 individuals).

Refer to the ITS Zoom Videoconferencing website for tips and training on performing common tasks.
