Due to changes in the vendor license, students are now required to register with My JMP in order to launch the JMP Student software in CAEN computer labs. This will also allow eligible U-M students to download and install an annual licensed version of JMP Student Edition for use on their personal computers at no cost. To get started, students can simply register with their U-M email address at: https://www.jmp.com/en/academic/jmp-student-edition/get-started
Registering with JMP
Visit the JMP Student Edition web page, and click the Get started at My JMP button at the bottom. You will then be taken to a page to enter your U-M email address:
After clicking the Verify button, you will next be prompted for your full name:
Click the Sign Up button, and you will be sent a verification code to your U-M email address to enter on the page. Once verified and you agree to the JMP Terms of Use, you will then be prompted to provide your U-M affiliation, and other personal information. Upon completion, you will be redirected to the U-M Weblogin page for authentication:
Once logged in with your uniqname and UMICH password, you will be presented with the page to download JMP Student Edition:
Running JMP Student on CAEN Computers
To run the JMP Student Edition on a CAEN Windows computer, simply search for JMP in the AppsAnywhere portal. Click the Launch button for the latest version of JMP #.# Student available, for example:
Once ready, click the green Launch button on the Cloudpaging Player, and you will be notified to authorize the software using the My JMP account you set up using the instructions above:
After clicking OK, you will be prompted to send a verification code to your U-M email address in order to access the software, and the application will launch.
