How can I use OpenClaw with WSL?

NOTE: CAEN recommends using our Ubuntu WSL image with OpenClaw to avoid the possibility of personal data loss. While we do not provide full support for OpenClaw, we have documented how to get it up and running.


First load the image from your list of applications and run it in the player

Then open a session as root

WSL Terminal folder

Then install the packages following the OpenClaw instructions

open claw terminal installation curl command

Then after installation you should be able to access OpenClaw locally at http://127.0.0.1:18789

openclaw website hosted locally

After installing OpenClaw should you be able to run it again via:
/bin/bash
openclaw (options)
