Completing the practice exam or quiz provided by your instructor and ensuring Respondus Lockdown Browser and Respondus Monitor is installed and are working correctly. Students should report any issues with Respondus to their instructor and submit a request for assistance with the subject line “UMSN Respondus Help” through the UMSN-IT web portal at http://help.nursing.umich.edu.
Completing system updates on your computer or tablet prior to each exam (including your initial practice exam). You should update your computer or tablet at least 24 hours prior to your exam. Updates can take 30 minutes or longer to run and/or requirement multiple reboots, so this should not be done during an exam period. Additionally, it is recommended that you reboot your computer after each update, prior to each exam.
Residential (on campus) courses only: Please confirm that your computer is connected to the MWireless network or to the campus network via ethernet in the classroom prior to starting Respondus Lockdown Browser and Respondus Monitor. No other networks are being supported (mguest, mobile hotspots).
