Slack: Find/Contact the Admins of a Workspace

Issue

How do I find who the admins are of a U-M Slack workspace? How do I contact them?

Resolution

To find the admins of a workspace:

1. Click Directories at the top of the channel list.
2. Click the People tab.
3. Click Filters.
4. Click the Workspaces drop-down and select the relevant workspace.
5. Click the Account types drop-down and select Admins.
6. Click Search.

You should now have a list of all the Workspace Admins in the workspace you chose.

You can also find a list of admins using the @admins user group, which every U-M Slack workspace has. From the same Directories page:

1. Click the User Groups tab.
2. Click the Workspaces drop-down and select the relevant workspace.
3. Find the @admins user group and click on it to view a list of that workspace's admins.

Based on these two methods, you can contact the Workspace Admins by either direct messaging one of them from the People list or by mentioning the @admins user group in a channel for the relevant workspace.
