Edit / Delete Redirect (Custom) URL in Canvas

Issue

When copying a Canvas course the Redirect URL, does not update to point to content in the new course. These links need to be updated so students can access current course content, or deleted and re-entered.

Resolution

Teachers, TAs, and Designers can edit or delete a Redirect URL:T

1. Navigate to the course
2. Click Settings from the left-hand course navigation
3. Click the Apps tab
4. Click View App Configurations
5. Find the name of the redirect URL from the list
6. Click the gear icon > Edit or Delete
   • Edit: Make any necessary changes and click Submit. Often it is just a matter of changing the course ID from the previous course to the current course.
   • Delete: Confirm the deletion when prompted.
7. Make any necessary changes and click Submit
