Issue

  • How do I schedule meetings in Microsoft Teams?
  • I don't see the Calendar option in Microsoft Teams - why is that?

Resolution

  • The default Calendar scheduling option in Microsoft Teams requires Microsoft 365 Exchange Online, which the U-M ITS-managed instance of Microsoft 365 does not use.
    • Note: The HITS-managed instance of Microsoft 365 is different and utilizes Exchange. This article is specific to the ITS-managed instance.
  • Therefore, individuals in the ITS-managed instance will not see the Calendar inside of U-M Teams or any option inside of Teams for scheduling.
  • Instead, you should use the Microsoft Teams Google add-on.
