Google: Export Gemini Chat History

Issue

I'd like to download/export my full chat log from Google Gemini.

Resolution

Gemini chats can be downloaded using Google Takeout. The resulting download is an HTML file containing the chat threads.

1. Go to Google Takeout.
2. Click Deselect all under the "Create a New Export" section (beside "Products").
3. Scroll down and check the My Activity box.
4. Click All activity data included.
5. Click Deselect all.
6. Check only the Gemini Apps box, and then click OK.
7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Next step.
8. Review the default export settings and click Create export.
9. Google will email your U-M account once the export is ready for download.
10. Download the Takeout export file ( .zip ) and locate the .html file containing the chat log.
