Document Imaging, Hyland Virtual Printer
Issue
When attempting to print a document using the Hyland Virtual Printer, users may receive an error message that says "The Cloud Capture application closed unexpectedly".
Resolution
Delete/Clear Cache and Cookies for Document Imaging in Google Chrome
- Click the three vertical dots in the top-right corner of your Chrome browser window.
- Select Settings.
- Select Privacy and Security in the left-menu.
- Select Third-party cookies.
- Under Advanced select, See all site data and permissions.
- To the right of the 'All sites' heading, in the Search bar, type imaging.
- The results should show a general umich.edu entry - click the drop-down arrow to the right of the entry.
- Scroll through the listed UMICH sites until you find 'imaging-prod-web.dsc.umich.edu'.
- The listing should have either a Hyland logo (H in a green box) or an image of an orange cartoon cat.
- Click the trashcan icon ('Delete site data and permissions...' option) to the very right of the entry.
- Click Delete to confirm.
- Close all open browser windows/tabs.
This will clear the cache/cookies stored for Document Imaging.
Once the above is completed, attempt to capture again, and the error message should no longer occur.
Additional Information
If the error persists, follow the instructions here to delete all browsing data.
