How to change your UMICH password.

Resolution

If Able to Sign In With a Currently Working Password

  1. Sign into okta.umich.edu (opens in new window) and complete multi-factor authentication (MFA), if prompted.
  2. Click Security Methods.
  3. In the Password section, click Update.
  4. Click Yes to verify that you wish to reset your password.
  5. Enter your UMICH password, click Verify, and complete MFA.
  6. Enter your new password and then re-enter your password in the fields provided.
  7. Click Reset Password.
  8. You will receive an email notification informing you that your password has been changed.

If Unable to Sign In With a Working Password

  1. Follow the steps in the article: Reset a Forgotten UMICH Password.
