Schedule Displays
Issue
Units are responsible for the installation of all purchased Schedule Displays. Most units will pursue installation solutions with unit IT, unit audiovisual services, or Facilities and Operations (F&O).
Resolution
Power and Network connectivity
- Schedule displays are powered and connected to the internet by Power over Ethernet (PoE)
- Power over Ethernet (PoE) is required to power the display. Most facilities have PoE switches in place already, but if yours does not, a PoE injector (802.3af Class 3) will need to be purchased separately to power the display.
For physical mounting of display, more complex system design, or project management:
- Check internally within your unit. Some of this work may be performed by a unit's A/V, Facilities, IT, or other group.
- Contact ITS A/V
- Consider an A/V strategic supplier
For network jack install:
- Check internally within your unit. Some of this may be performed by a unit's A/V, Facilities, IT, or other group.
- Contact ITS - Infrastructure
