eSignature: Timestamp or e-Signature ID Not Visible Under the Signature; Timestamp displaying odd time zone

Environment

SignNow

Issue

The timestamp or e-signature ID is not visible under the Signature on downloaded SignNow documents
 - or -
The timestamp appears to be wrong as it is not displaying as our time zone (EST).

Resolution -

A timestamp/e-signature ID is typically under the signature when viewing downloaded documents from SignNow. However, if the timestamp/e-signature ID is not visible, you can change the settings and make it appear again using the following steps:

  1. Open SignNow and click the drop-down arrow next to the user icon in the upper right corner and select My Account
  2. Select Settings on the left side navigation bar
  3. In the Additional settings section, turn on the Display SignNow e-signature ID radio button

NOTES: You can only see this setting when it is turned off. If this setting is on, the user will not be able to visually see this.

Users in the 21 CFR SignNow organization (FDA regulated version) will see the e-signature ID as selected but grayed out with a message "Your organization has restricted access to this setting".  These accounts have the e-signature ID enabled by default and cannot disable this setting.

In order to view the e-signature ID on completed documents, users must download the document with history.  To do this, select the appropriate document from the list and select "Download with History" from the right side action panel. (Screenshot attached to this KB for the location of the download with history button)

In addition, please realize that the timestamp provided by SignNow is in UTC time (i.e., coordinated universal time).  It is not in Eastern Standard Time.  We do not have control to change this function.  The vendor does not have a means to update the time zone for different clients.
