Dell WD25Z - Dell Pro Dock 130W docking station compatibility 

Resolution

The Dell WD25Z - Dell Pro Dock 130W (Dell Systems), 96W (non-Dell Systems) docking station provides connections using USB C technology. On the back of the docking station, there are multiple ports for connecting other devices. In addition to the AC power connection, the back of the device has the following ports available: 1 HDMI (2.1), 2 DisplayPorts (1.4), 1  USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 Multifunction DisplayPort (1.4), 3 USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 with PowerShare, 1 RJ 45/Ethernet. On the front of the dock, there are two ports available: USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 with PowerShare and USB-C 3.2 Gen 2

Compatible Laptops

To be fully compatible, the dock must provide adequate power for the device and successfully work with 2 monitors, a mouse, a keyboard, and networking. The following MiWorkspace recommended and supported PC laptops are fully compatible with this dock:

  • Dell Latitude, 5420, 5430, 5440, 5450, 5520, 5530, 5540, 7350 (standard and detachable), 7400, 9410, 9420, 9430, 9440
  • Del Precision 5550, 5560, 5570, 5680
  • Dell Pro, 13 Premium, 14 PC14250, 16 PC16250, Pro Max 16 (MC16250)
  • Lenovo ThinkPads T14 Gen3, T14 Gen4, T14 Gen5, P1 Gen 5, X1 Carbon Gen 12, X1 Carbon Gen 13, X13 Yoga Gen 3 - however, the dock power button does not work

Incompatible Laptops

The following MiWorkspace recommended and supported PC laptops are not compatible because of power or connectivity issues. These laptops cannot be reliably used with this dock and attempting to do so is not recommended or supported:

  • Dell Latitude 5410 – does not support 2 displays
  • Dell Precision 7680 – the dock does not provide enough power
  • Max 16 Plus MB16250 – the dock does not provide enough power
  • Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen6 & Gen7 - the dock does not provide enough power
