Completing Okta Enrollment on a Mobile Device

Issue

I do not have a computer to complete Okta Enrollment. How can I complete Okta enrollment on my mobile device?

Resolution

If you have a computer, we recommend that you follow the steps in Getting Started With Okta: Enroll With the Okta Verify App for the best user experience.

If you do not have a computer, follow the instructions below for enrolling on a smart phone or tablet: 

  1. Install the Okta Verify app on your mobile device. You can search for it in the App store or the Google Play store.
    1. Note: The app is free to download!
  2. After the app finishes installing, go to oktaverify.umich.edu.
  3. Click Enroll your UMICH account.
  4. Sign in through the Weblogin page.
  5. If you are prompted to install the app, click next.
  6. Click the button to get an activation link by text/SMS
  7. Open the activation link on your device to link the Okta Verify app with your UMICH account. 

Congratulations, you've completed Okta Enrollment! Please consider installing the Okta verify app on another device if you have one, just in case you lose access to your current device.
