Issue

How to configure settings to automatically continue from previous session. How to reopen previously closed tabs in Chrome and Edge. 

Resolution

Continue Previous Session Setting

Both Chrome and Edge browsers can be set so that when you open a new browsing session, your tabs from the previous session automatically open.

Chrome

See instructions to configure Chrome setting to “Continue where you left off”.

Edge

  1. Open an Edge browser window.
  2. Click the three dots in the top-right and select Settings.
  3. Select Start, home, and new tab page from the menu on the left.
  4. In the On startup section, click the Open tabs from the previous session option.

Reopen Closed Tabs 

You can individually reopen closed tabs in both Chrome and Edge.

  1. To the right of the plus icon used to open a new tab, right-click (control + click on Mac) and select Reopen closed tab.
  2. Repeat this process to open additional closed tabs as many times as needed.
