Windows Desktop Default Image Changes

Environment

Windows 11, MiWorkspace

Issue

After the latest Windows 11 update, the desktop wallpaper changes automatically to Microsoft's active wallpaper featuring rotating world pictures, similar to the lock screen.

Resolution

This change will only affect users who are using the default Windows wallpaper. If you have customized your desktop wallpaper, it will not change. No action is required if you wish to keep the new active wallpaper. If you prefer to use a custom wallpaper:

  1. Right-click on the desktop and select "Personalize."
  2. Click on "Background" and then choose "Picture" or "Slideshow" based on your preference.
  3. Select or browse for the image you want to set as your desktop wallpaper.
