Okta, Uniqname Accounts, Friend Accounts

I am locked out of my Okta account.

Unlock Your Account

1. Go to okta.umich.edu
   1. If your uniqname or email address has been pre-filled, click ‘back to sign in’.
2. Click Unlock Account?
3. Enter your uniqname or email address.
4. Select the email or phone method for verification.

Email Verification

• Uniqname account: You will receive an account unlock email to your UMICH email, secondary email (usually a personal email), and any mail forwarding addresses you have set up.
  • Click the link sent to your email, or enter the code to unlock your account.
• Friend account: You will receive an account unlock email to the address associated with your friend account.
  • Click the link sent to your email, or enter the code to unlock your account.

Note: Check your spam folder if you are unable to find the email.

Phone Verification

1. Choose between receiving a code via text or phone call.
2. Enter the code you receive to unlock your account.
