Issue
Am I eligible to use ITS AI Services?
Resolution
Log in to U-M GPT, U-M Maizey, MiMaizey, or Go Blue with your UMICH credentials. You will receive an error message if you attempt to log in and are not eligible.
- Please do not contact the ITS Service Center or the ITS AI Services team for assistance if you receive an error message. There is no exception process for granting ineligible users access to AI Services.
- If you believe there is an error with your eligibility, please contact your HR department for further assistance.
The following information is applicable across the Ann Arbor, Flint, Dearborn, and Michigan Medicine campuses.
Eligible
If you have at least one of the following affiliations, you are eligible.
- Students (from matriculation to either graduation or end of student status).
- This includes students with a temporary staff role.
- Faculty (including emeritus faculty, lecturers, and intermittent lecturers).
- Regular staff.
- Temporary staff (not including students with a temporary staff role).
Not Eligible
The following affiliations are not eligible for an ITS AI account:
- Alumni.
- Retirees.
- Sponsored affiliates with regular uniqnames and UMIDs (i.e., Type-1 Sponsored Affiliates, strong identities).
- Sponsored affiliates with regular uniqnames and UMIDs that start with "99" (i.e., Type-2 Sponsored Affiliates, long-term guests).
- Sponsored affiliates with uniqnames starting with "um" and followed by numbers (i.e., Type-3 Sponsored Affiliates, weak identities, short-term guests).
- U-M Friend accounts.
