Summary
Some research studies may wish to prevent the Fitbit app from providing feedback on a participant's sleep. This article summarizes how to hide the sleep tile within the Fitbit app.
Steps
Step 1 - Once a Fitbit has been initialized and connected to the device.
- Open the Fitbit app.
- Tap on 'Edit' in the top right corner of the app.
- Click on the 'X' in the top right corner of the sleep tile
- This will hide the sleep data from appearing as a summary when the Fitbit app is opened.
Notes
- It is important to stress to the participant that the sleep data and any sleep feedback they may see from Fitbit should be ignored and not taken as accurate.
- Inform the participant not to adjust any settings within the app (especially editing visible tiles).
- Though the sleep tile is hidden, sleep data is still being logged.
