Housing

When will I be able to apply for housing at the University of Michigan, and what housing options are available?

Starting in mid-April, admitted students who applied for fall term and paid their enrollment deposit or had it waived will receive an email from Michigan Housing with a link to the Michigan Housing application. Once you receive your housing application, you have until May 6 to submit it back to Housing. Housing applications received by May 6 are randomized for assignment, but after May 6, applications will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

Michigan Housing offers a variety of housing options. Please visit the Residence Halls Comparison webpage to learn about the unique characteristics of each of the residence halls.

Non-University housing includes fraternities and sororities, co-ops, and apartments and houses for rent.
