When will I be able to apply for housing at the University of Michigan, and what housing options are available?
Starting in early April, admitted students who applied for fall term and paid their enrollment deposit or had it waived will receive an email from Michigan Housing with a link to the Michigan Housing application. You have until May 12 at 9:00 AM EDT to submit your housing application. The application will ask for your preferences and we utilize room self-selection for portions of our process.
We want to help you find a home that is right for you. Housing options are listed on the First-year and Transfer Application Information webpage. To learn more about residence halls, consult our Residence Halls Comparison. You can also learn more about some specific options by visiting our Additional Living Options webpage.
Go to Beyond the Diag to learn about living off-campus. Non-University housing includes fraternities and sororities, co-ops, and apartments and houses for rent.
