How do I request an official electronic transcript be sent to the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS)?
The American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) accepts official electronic PDF transcripts sent from the University of Michigan. Students can input their AAMC ID and AAMC Transcript ID numbers into our online transcript ordering system, via Wolverine Access, and submit their transcripts to AMCAS without having to upload the AMCAS matching form. Electronic transcripts are ordered through the Office of the Registrar, and are processed by Parchment.
Online Ordering Instructions
Current and many former students with a uniqname and university/Kerberos password can place their order online through Wolverine Access. Former students, who no longer remember their university/Kerberos password, may request a password reset by contacting the ITS Service Center at 734-764-4357.
- Log in to Wolverine Access - Student Business
- Select "Order Transcript" and the online transcript order form will appear
- Select a Processing Time
- Select the Transcript Format option "Electronic (PDF) Transcript"
- Select a Transcript Type from the drop down menu
- Check the "Application Service" checkbox
- Select AMCAS from the Service Center drop down menu (the email address for AMCAS will autofill)
- Enter your 8-digit AAMC ID & 7-digit Transcript ID (required). The two ID's may be found in your AMCAS application. The AAMC ID should be visible in the main menu and the Transcript ID is visible in the Schools Attended Summary. The ID's are also located on the AMCAS transcript form.
- Click "NEXT" to review your transcript order
- Click "Submit Order"
You will receive an email within 15 minutes of your submitted request confirming the delivery of your eTranscript to AMCAS. However, additional processing time is required before receipt of your transcript is reflected within the AMCAS system.
The online ordering option is not available to those students who last attended the University of Michigan prior to fall 1993. Students, who attended prior to fall 1993, may order a paper copy of their transcript via email, fax or mail. A Transcript Order Form is available. The AMCAS matching form is only required for paper copies.
