About Enrollment Requirement Groups

What are Enrollment Requirement Groups?

Enrollment Requirement Groups (also known as ERGs) restrict enrollment in a particular course or class to a defined group of students. Enrollment Requirement Groups are used for three purposes within the M-Pathways system.

  • Enforced Prerequisites — maintained at the course level
  • Requisites — maintained at the class level
  • Reserve Capacity — maintained at the class level

The Curriculum and Degree Audit Offices are responsible for the set-up of Enrollment Requirement Groups. Any questions can be directed to ro.curriculum.staff@umich.edu.
