Can a student change the registration appointment?
Registration appointments are assigned based on credit earned as a matriculated student at U-M or at an accredited institution of higher education and accepted as transfer credit added to the student’s currently elected credit hours at U-M Ann Arbor. A student’s total of those credits are then used to place them into one of 27 “registration blocks” (please see below for the designated blocks). College credit earned through tests taken before matriculation, such as Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exams, are not counted for registration priority.
The only reason that a registration appointment will ever be changed is if a student receives transfer credit after an appointment has been assigned that increases that total and changes the student's registration priority group. When this occurs, the student may contact the Office of the Registrar to request that his/her appointment be updated.
