The Academic Calendar indicates that Thanksgiving recess begins at 5 p.m. on the Wednesday before the holiday. Many classes begin before 5 p.m. and are scheduled to continue beyond 5 p.m. The decision to end the session at 5 p.m. or to continue beyond 5 p.m. is at the discretion of the faculty responsible for that class.
